What is the proper way to roll a fender well for tire clearance and not do damage to or distort the sheetmetal. Probably a stupid question, but I searched, it wasnt asked, so i figured i would since i need to know. Thanks!

There is a guy on ls1tech renting a tool that will roll the lip. I think he's charging like 60 bucks. It was a recent thread in the wheels and tires forum. You might look him up.

Or you can put a baseball bat between the tire and wheelwell and roll it through the wheel well. Works amazing well.

Prodigy: I have seen the baseball bat technique used, but afraid that it will pull the fender out instead of just rolling the lip. Is the fender a lot stronger than I assume and the lip the weak?

I've got a 69 camaro with a killer paint job already on it. I just got my Bonspeed wheels in and I need to either trim the lip or roll it on the rear fender wheel wells. I was planning on trimming the inner lips about a 1/4' to 1/2". Has anyone done this already? And if so did you use tin snips or a nibbler or die grinder. I think there is too much metal to use the grinder and I am afraid of heating the metal up too much.
I am not to crazy about rolling the lip because I would cry if I screwed up the paint job. It's taken me way too long to get to this point.
Any help is appreciated.
