Hello all, I have been hanging around this site for a while. I am currently knee deep in a Gen II Camaro frame off mild Pro Tour build. I am a contractor overseas so I do what I can when I am around. The car has been in the family its entire life, it started out as my moms, then mine, my uncles, then mine again after he passed. I was able to get a lot done in the last few months while I was on vacation. Here's were we sit today:

Chassis:
Powder coated, welded and smoothed sub.
Chassis Works upper/lower Arms QA1 Coilovers
Aluminum body bushings (shorter ones)
Chassis works motor mounts

Body:
Smoothed firewall, currently at body shop (body prep and primer only)

Drivetrain:
Full roller 383, Dart 2.02's, Scat rotating assembly est. 475hr @ Crank (based off similar builds)

By the end of the year:
14'' brakes, T56, DSE Mini tub, Chassis works rear end set up w/ coilovers, DSE sub-connectors, narrowed 9inch, 4.56's.

Really excited to buy some needed parts on here and get some great tech info.

Welcome to the site Kevin! Love the story behind the car staying in the family...... Make sure you post a few pics of the car... maybe some when your mom was driving it and now.

Dont have many good pics, this is what I have. Hopefully they upload......This is the only pic I could find of the camaro prior to tear down. I picked up another sub on ebay and built that. I took the old 383 from the camaro and put it in the ratrod and threw a tunnel ram on for good taste.

The car looks pretty nice for sure! Love the Ratrod and the GMC too! Whats the story about the fan blower motor box/tube/plate? Was the car a A/C car and you converted it to heater only?

As of now all the AC stuff has been removed. The firewall has been filled, all the bodywork on it is done. I am very pleased with the way it turned out, it was clean enough that we are going to paint it the same as the car.

Thanks for the compliments, the Camaro looked great doing 80 on the freeway but defenitly has some serious flaws. Ratrod is a blast and thats my buddys GMC.........Very excited to start making progress though!

No sure if I uploaded these right or not. Firewall is painted to the color the camaro will be. Just put a down payment on a set of 18x12 and 18x9 Rushforth Rated X's. 335/30/18's are en route still undecided on the front size. Just a standard full hyd. roller with 2.02's, still undecided on carb or injection. Car is at the body shop right now getting mini tubs and body work done. G link and fab 9 coming shortly. Still undecided on tranny, going to have z28 gloss black stripes and cowl hood. I'll get some more pics soon. Thanks for looking, this site has been a wonderful asset to this build.

The zoomies are from my derby truck, I threw them on as a joke :)

I think my intro is turning into a build thread, if it needs to be moved I would appreciate it if a Mod. would do so. Thanks
