Hey everyone,

I picked up a '68 Camaro a few weeks ago and am trying to figure some things out. The car was originally a V8 Sport Coupe, but the car came with what seems to be one '67 front fender and an RS Grill. Essentially the entire front end came with the car other than the passenger side fender and inner fenders. So my issue is do I buy two 68 fenders and 68 RS Grill (the one that came with it is not in very good shape), or buy a 67 fender and 67 RS Grill. From what I have seen these two years the front end parts are interchangable? Also, with the 67 front end am I able to run bumperless?

Here is a picture of the fender. The lack of the side marker makes me think its a '67 fender:

correct, that would be a 67 fender. Not a real difference in the grill except 67 are black and 68 have chrome horizontal trim. the valances are different, just make sure you get the correct year park light. You can go bumperless, MANY have done it. if you buying fenders make sure to buy the RS fender or you will have to buy adapters to get the RS grill to work.

Good news. I actually prefer the '67 fender since it is slightly cleaner looking since it doesnt have the markers. I believe the valance is correct since that also came with the car, if you can see in the picture the header/grill/valance are all bolted up so it was most likely removed in one piece from the car when it was taken apart. Which makes me think its all '67. There is some slight frame damage so I'm guessing a '67 front clip was put on the car.
