Alright guys. I have a brand new crate motor all wired up in my 67 camaro. Brand new Gm lsx 454 motor, fast 102, nick Williams 102tb, 57lb fast injectors, psi engine wiring and 07 vette ecu, Dynatech 1 7/8 open headers, ctsv vapor worx set up. The car starts but won't stay running, fires for 2-3 seconds then dies. I thought it was my coil pack wiring but I made sure that was correct tonight. All my sensor are plugged in and brand new other wise. When I turn the key I can hear the fuel pump priming. The pedal is hooked up if that matters. What should I be checking next to start figuring out what is the problem? I've read a dozen threads about the vats being turned on/off. What are some things that would lead to me guessing if it's turned on? Can I check that with a scanner? Also should the check engine light be on when the key is on run? I'm going to try to get this video up any help is extremely appreciated. My personal email is
[email protected] if any one can help me or has suggestions. Thanks Steven

Mike, thanks for the reply. I'm pretty sure I did from the start but I will double check again just to make sure.

It's funny you've said this. A long time ago I was cleaning up the wiring on my subaru. I did this exact same thing after putting a new filter on. It took me close to an hour to figure our why the car would start a couple of seconds and then stall. This was the problem. Again I'm pretty sure I've installed it the correct way but I will check again, but I did crank it twice with it unplugged..no change.

Justed wanted to update this as others might find this usefull. Here some of the problem fixed...
After we read the codes last night and it was comming up with cam and crank we started digging into the cam wiring first and checking the pin-outs on the ecu to see what goes where and when the harness are made they are general for the wiring for the cam. Happens to be that the singal wire to the cam was a tan and needed to be a brown. The brown wire if for non variable timing, the tan which was hooked up is for variable timing. When psi makes the harness he tucks the brown wire into that slevee. Once John told us it was there we unhooked the tan and hooked up the brown. After that the car fired up and lasted a lot longer running, but is still a little rough and the crank code is still coming up as PO315 (crank possition). There is 2 small vacumms that need to be adressed and I have to dial in the fuel pressure which I order a gauge to go onto the fuel rail...after those fixes well see how its acting.

How does it sound, Steven? I bought mine based on specs but I have to admit that I'll be a little disappointed if it doesn't have some lope to it.... Congratulations on getting this far!

any update?
Is your ECM tuned for the 57lb injectors?
Other things are tuned?

Its hard to tell as Is running in limp mode at the moment. Either way with open headers it sounds good...also I sent you a sound clip.

Yep, that circuit is complete.

After we sealed the vacumm leaks and dialed in the fuel pressure the car was running a little longer but was still stalling out. John over at psi put a rough tune on the car for the injectors and mods. After talking to him a couple of times he told me to unplug the maf, by doing this the car will go into limp mode but should stay running...did that and sure enough it stays running. Basically it needs to be tuned to go any further. I have a date set up for next week but there is still a lot to be done to get it ready..only time and my son will tell...haha
