I want to buy a 9" or a 12" and have it shortened cause I will be doing a mini-tub on my 1969 Camaro. I want to fit a 18x12 rear rim .
Thanks
Bob

Lotsa places, Currie Enterprises (http://www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/default_rearend.aspx), Moser (http://www.moserengineering.com/) ...
I got a FAB 9 housing from Chris Alston's Chassisworks (http://www.cachassisworks.com).

Maybe this tread will help? Most companys mentioned do 12 bolts too.

In my opinion....
You dont need to shorten the housing.... unless you wanna play with the wheel offset.... which still isnt necessary, but if thats the plan....
I would recommend (in order):
Mark Williams (http://www.markwilliams.com/)
Summers Brothers 530 S. Mountain Ave. Ontario, CA 91762 800/221-7532
Strange Engineering (http://www.strangeengineering.net/)
Then maybe Moser. Currie.... CAC etc. Man, that Fab 9 is boat anchor in weight.....

Really? I didn't think it was that heavy - although it sure looks beefy - but then I didn't have anything to compare it to except the fully loaded 10-bolt that I pulled off. Now that was heavy...

I should call Pete and have him weight the same length HD housing and compare it to the FAB 9....
That would be interesting, yes ?
