Hi, my name is Neil. I'm from St Louis if anyone else is, but I'm not sure I really qualify as a pro-touring car.

I have a 1968 Camaro, current specs are in my sig. Plans are for all the good pro-touring suspension components, but I want to stick with an old-school drivetrain. Planning on a roots-blown 427 backed by a M22 if I can find one/build one to handle the engine, and a 12 bolt rear. Probably will end up using a 4-link in the rear though.

Anyhow, thought I'd say hi and take a look around!

Welcome Neil! I have always loved the 400 SBC's ........ what are your plans for the car? Street Cruiser, Weekend Drag, Road Racing, etc.?

Please post some pictures when you get a chance!

Thanks everyone! I'm at work right now, so no access to picture hosts. Currently it's silver with blue stripes and a Year One 96 SS hood and no side marker lights. Otherwise it's stock looking.

Plan is just to have fun. I want something that isn't brutal like a pro street car, but still has some of that nostalgic feel. Kinda a street-touring car, if you will. Planning on basically a whole new front and rear suspension, including a whole front subframe, and a 4 link in back. Then going with a more old-school type of engine trans in a roots-blown big block (or big inch small block, haven't decided) and a M22 4 speed if I can find one.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Sounds like a great car for sure. We offer a alternative to a 4-link for the rear of the 67-69 F-Body:
