It looks good for a low budget , independent movie .
The acting looks pretty good , and the cars and the plot look great ..

I appreciate the filmakers doing it .
Can't wait to see it !

only problem with the movie is that they destroy several old cars

Oooo - that's a major no-no in my book even if they're rust buckets.

That is a big negative in my opinion.

I haven't talked Jay in years and was just wondering what he's been up to. My recollection was that at least one of the cars (the red A/S Camaro) was wrecked unintentionally.

Hi Larry, fellow members,
Thanks for chatting up CLUTCH and checking out the movie trailer! Here's an update: Right now I'm finishing up work on the CLUTCH DVD covers with my graphic artists. Next month (July) I'm traveling to Los Angeles to meet with the studios/distributors that are interested in distributing CLUTCH worldwide. My intentions are to get this movie to the market ASAP so y'all can check it out!!!
Now in regards to cars being destroyed- a little back story info: I'm a "car guy" first, movie maker second so I cringe any time a production destroys a perfectly good (or even not so good) classic car on screen. I also understand that on screen car crash stunts etc is what puts butts in the theater seats. I purchased one car for the purpose of intentional damage, a 1968 Camaro ex NASCAR "Bomber". Believe me when I say this car had seen better days. I put a lot of work in that car to get it worthy of on screen performance. Some of you may cringe when you see what happens to it - but, take solace my friends, I still have the car and actually have plans to rebuild it and use it for a future movie idea I have in development ;-)
There were a few more muscle car casualties during production; however, as mentioned above these were unintentional. A few cars were severely wrecked during Vintage SCCA Road Racing events. A couple other cars were wrecked outside of production by their owners on non-filming days. The latter of which required me to re-write the movie script (more than once!), reschedule production and re-shoot scenes! All but one of the damaged muscle cars has been put back on the road or the race track. Not a bad record for a car movie in my opinion!!
I'll pop back in after my Los Angeles trip with any new updates and updates will also be posted on www.clutchthemovie.com as well as facebook. Your cars and projects have been inspiring to me. I'm planning to attend SEMA this year and look forward to seeing you guys there too! Have a great day and keep the rubber side down!
