This is posted on another board and moving everything over to here would be a hassle, Just wanting to get your guy's honest advice on this car if it's worth it or not before I move forward with this... My intentions with it are to make it a nice driver/autocross/road course car....

53 Views and no replies? Is this car worth the $18,000??

I would say from the pictures it looks like it is worth the money or trade. Other then the body has more hiding under the paint, you could not build it for the 18K he wants. I say go for it!

Looks like a decent car from the pics, I would want to put the car on a lift to go over the bottom as much as possible. The rust in the pass side qtr is most likely caused by a large blob of sealer that was put there on the assembly line, I have seen this 5 or 6 times, '73 seemed to be the most prolific year for this for some reason. I would study this hard since it looks like a nice car, from the outside.

Id say that car is absolutely worth it. I would check out the under side and get a magnetic bondo gauge to check it out but I wouldn't let it stop you from buying the car, id just use it for leverage in the price negotiation.
