It was time for Carol to get a new ride so off to the dealer we went to find her a nice F150. We got as far as the dealer showroom and drove away in this...
It's orange, not red. I guess cell phone cameras can't tell the difference. lol

That is a beautiful car, the picture just does not do it justice. I saw one in comp orange in my local ford dealer and I just stared at it in awe, that colour is just fantastic with the contrast of the black rims and accents!

Yes, it has the Recaros. They are very comfortable, better than I expected. One thing I'm surprised about is there are no factory oil pressure or coolant temp gauges unless you get the optional dash gauge pack. I would think on a performance car, the gauges would be standard.
VERY COOL! When do I get to drive it? My schedule looks freed up around July 1 :)

WOW, great choice ! Love those cars and have been lusting after one for myself. BFGoodrich brought 2 BOSS 302's to Run to Ole South last weekend, and I got to run with them on the road course some. REALLY fast cars right out of the box ! I think the only cars there that were faster were the DSE cars.

Damn, I was hoping you had them and hated them so I could put them in my wifes '12 GT....
What do you mean about the gauges? You don't have any oil and water gauges at all? The GT does.

I finally got to drive it and it has a coolant gauge next to the fuel level in between the speedo and tach, but no oil pressure gauge, just a warning light.
That is my "Wife's" dream car!

Very cool Herb! The center gauge pod is a simple add on, but I think the thing costs almost a grand. Still, the wiring is supposed to already be there and it's just a plug in kinda deal.
A friend of mine has the same car, same color. The Boss' are awesome. The Recaro package should also include the Torsen rear diff, right? Keep an eye on the transmission! The 2-3 shift is going to get worse.

Thanks Eric! I'm not overly concerned about the gauges at the moment, maybe one of these days down the road I'll get them.
The two options on the window sticker are:
3.73 ratio LTD slip w/Torsen
Recaro SPT seats/Helical diff
Now I have to ask, what do you mean the 2-3 shift is going to get worse?

congrats, they ROCK !!! of coarse for some odd reason I might think that, now you can start modding it and have even MORE fun. mgw makes the BEST shifter( for mustangs), not sure if they make one for the Boss, but 2-3 shift problems will be sovled.

The transmissions they've used in all the new Mustangs (these and GT's) tend to have synchro issues. To some it's not a big deal, but to others it's very noticeable. Do a Google search on Chinese Mustang Transmissions or something and you'll get some info. If you don't abuse it, it should be fine.
