It is a common mis-conception that anything built out of Stainless is heavier then its relative similar components. With that theory in mind The GMR set out to Shatter it!

Had a few questions on this...

What Size are the axle tubes?
They are available in both 3 inch and 3.25 inch along with the Truss options.

What do you do about link mounts and brackets?
We can fabricate ANY brackets / suspension points on the housing out of Stainless, keeping the unit 100% non-corrosive. If you are looking to have a DSE, Speedtech, TCI, AME, ect... we CAN easily design / fabricate them for your Stainless setup.

Is this something that can be polished or can I order it polished?
Yes and YES! If you want us to ship it out to you 100% polished, we sure can!

Looks killer Jay! You've been cranking out some super slick products.

I have the perception that SS can be brittle and fatigue/crack from vibration. What are your thoughts on that?
My experience is with food grade sanitary tubing which is quite a bit thinner wall and a totally different application...

Good Question,
The specific stainless we are using is what I would consider the best for the application. Think of it like this, the Stainless housing is comparable in strength to the mild steel housings and is designed for more street with some autocross applications. If you are concerned with strength in more of a Race application then I suggest our Titanium or Chromoly units. As for the vibration Im not concerned, I do not see these vehicles experiencing the forces needed to fatigue the material we are using, maybe a true Race car or an off-road race vehicle but like i said above I would then suggest the other units. This housing was created for the ultimate in style, it is plenty strong enough for the majority of builds.

Not for Race Applications, for the Style Applications!

And not all stainless steel is created equal.....people get the wrong impression when they come up against a stainless failure where the wrong grade/spec was used - they think that all stainless is no good. You see that all the time on marine fittings.
