I have a 72 nova, its lowered 2 inches, has tubular a arms, and the rear fender lip trimmed. I have a line on a set of wheels that were on a bmw, the specs on the wheels and tires are: 17x7.5 for the front with a 42mm offset and a 72.56 bore, and 18x8.5 with a 40mm offset and a 72.56mm bore for the rear. bolt pattern is 5x120. I think the current tire sizes are 245 40 17, and 275 40 18
Can I make these work on my car? if so, what do i need to make it happen? Spacer?
Thanks for any help guys.

I'm running 18" wheels off an E46 M3 on my 69 Nova. Also lowered 2 inches with Hotchkis springs and ATS spindles.
I needed a 1.5" adapter for the fronts. Didn't use anything on the rears.

What size wheel and tire are you running on those 18"s front and rear?

Not sure on the wheel size, you can probably google E46 M3 wheels and figure out what they are. I want to say either 18x8 and 18x9 or 18x9 and 18x10.
Current tires are 235/40/18 in the front and 245/40/18 in the rear.
Fronts hit the frame before getting to full lock, and it's annoying as hell.
I'm only using them because I got them for a super cheap price, but when I have the money I'm getting wheels made for my car so I can get my turning radius back.
I've been told that wheels off a 5 or 7 series would fit better, but I can't validate that as I have yet to run across a good cheap set of wheels for either of those cars.

This site should help you figure out some of your backspacing issues.
