View Full Version : Prodigy customs Lack of honesty!!

OK this is a outline of my expiernce so far with prodigy customs. I have a 69 camaro with a Ls engine and i was wanting to get a vintage air set up for so i contacted prodigy to see what it would cost. If you read the A/C forum you will see my inital post and contact with Frank regarding getting this from him at Prodigy customs.

So i rang Frank and discussed what was required for my car and went into his Superstore and ordered and paid for my A/c Kit on 09/07/2011 inv 226078 Total $1590.00 As of today 04/26/2012 i still do not have my A/C kit!

After 3 months i started chasing it and i finally got onto Frank in Mid January 2012. The story i was told by Frank was it got shipped to the wrong place and that he would get it back check it was complete and send it to my shipper to then send it to me in Australia.

Ok i thought that sounded reasonable stuff happens he sounded honest he will fix it (Hah)
At the same time i had decided that i needed a vaporworks tank for my car and i wanted to replaxce my front coil over set up with a new set so whilst talking to frank i decided to again buy from him the following:
1 x Ricks Hot rods Vaporworx fuel tank $1665.00
1 x fesler hood adjusters $ FOC
1 x Gdd40110350a 67-69 F body coil over conversion $630.00
1 x Coil over adjustment tools $45.00

Total $2340.00 invoice number 226266 date 1/18/2012

Grand Total for both invoices $3930.00

No i have Phoned and got the following excuses in no particular order,

car shows (acceptable)
Jury Duty (acceptable)
Son in Hospital (acceptable)
Employee with a drug problem, had to have a intervention, and put him into rehab ! (acceptable)

Now here we are nearly into may nearly 9 months since i first ordered and paid for my A/c kit and nearly 4 months since i ordered and paid for my tank etc and it still not shipped.

Now ive tried numerous emails to Frank,Rhonda and Lisa but to avail ive asked for updates and tracking numbers to no avail, Ive spoken to Frank and he says that he will get the stuff drop shipped to my shipper but as yet it hasnt arrived (he has stated that he has literally fallen over my coil over kit as the druggie hadnt sent it.) Ive told him that i want to order a matching set of rear shocks and he has stated that he will throw them in my my front set and as it taking so long that i can fix him up for them once they are here. Thats great but again i cant get him to send me a tracking number so as i can confirm that they have made it to my shipper.
Ive spoken to Rhonda a few times and to her credit she says that she will get back to me with sum answers and again ive only heard that she will let me know.
Lisa has never got back to me ever. Ive even sent her a message thru facebook but still nothing.

Ive rang numerous times and this can mean sum very late nights as due to the time difference from here in melbourne australia to florida its near midnight when he opens the shop and even when i ring him in the mornings my time which is the afternoon his time i get no answers.


Ive even resorted to calling the Apopka Police department and discussing with them whats going on to seeif they can drive by and make sure that the business is still trading but i am yet to here back from Officer Shah. But i will keep trying.


Ive asked that if its too hard to just give me my money back and i will try elsewhere but to no avail. I just want sum communication and my parts to be shipped to me cause after nearly 9 months i think i have the right to be questioning Prodigy's Honesty.

Worst case is i jump on a plane and get my ass to florida now i reckon that after a 24 hr flight and finding my way to the shop that im not going to be the happiest Aussie tourist to ever drop by at the shop to collect my parts or my money!!
Now i understand that Frank is a Sponsor here so i dont think that this will go down well but the truth needs to be told as to what im being put thru.


If the moderators want i can forward them All my emails which are approx twenty or so which will back up my story.

Frank buddy i told you that i would write on this forum if you didnt get back to me so here it is. Heres your chance to be honest and either send my parts
with the tracking numbers to me, or refund my money in full. You have my numbers and emails mate i hope to here from you if not i will get the full force of he law involved and or i will hop a plane and come and sort it in person if that what it is going to take.

Tony, first off I have a email from you last night at 6:35 last night threatening to go on the forum if I don;t answer in 12 hours. I did not even see the email till this morning.

I do not have any other communication from you since the 16th, a email.

I have not answered your email yet because I do not have the answers yet

Frank your alive !! Its good to know you are well. So i told you and rhonda that i will go on this forum and make public my concerns its not a good look mate.

I awoke to see your email saying my tank will ship next week. Thats interesting mate as i rang them last night at 1.25 am my time which was just after they opened for business (they hadnt even turned their computer on) And it was interesting. Your invoice states that they will drop ship it, as you recall i asked you over a month ago what that meant, your reply was it will go direct from the supplier to my shipper.

You do not have a order placed to send it to my shipper?

Ok thats one item What about my Air Con kit ordered back in september 2011? You yourself have stated that you have it and its ready to go wheres my tracking number?? Why hasnt it gone its ben months mate

Coilovers now again where are they? I accept your offer of throwing the rears in and that you where going to reorder them and have them dropped ship from the manufacturer again where are they?

C,mon Frank ive tried ringing you repeatedly i ring you after 9am your time and when i wake up in the morning. Yes i sent you a message sayimg mate i want answers in 12 hrs or im on the net. How many emails have i sent to you Frank? Rhonda? Lisa? I have given you plenty of time to supply me or even give me my money back and all i get in return in words. I havent had you answer your phone in 2 weeks in fact last night before i posted my issues i rang you 6 times over a 2 hour period! Not once did you answer i left you a message that enough was enough.

Your signature above states there are no stupids questions but its hard to ask questions when you wont answer the phone or answer emails !!

In fact im about to call you again right now and google tell me it 4.35pm in florida lets see if you answer my call shall we.....

As stated now you have sent me a shipping advice PROBLEM its got the wrong address on it! That address was ONLY if you had shipped it 2 months ago as he was loading containers at that time.
If its too late to change it to bad but i want to know what it is your shipping as i need to give a copy of your invoice to him for customs purposes.

To those fellow members who have sent me PMs i thank you for your support and advice.

I was amazed to see that in the first hour that this was online and public it had over 52 readers. By this morning nearly 200 I wont mention names of the other forums but as i said to you Frank in my emails i should have googled Prodigy problems before i placed my order as the internet is a amazing thing Frank.

Now i will again try to phone you Frank its now 4.50pm your time on google.

Wow isnt it amazing what a bit of publicity can generate. Ive recieved more emails from frank at prodigy today than i have in the past 7 months.

You make me laugh frank the first thing that you appeared to have shipped is the fesler bonnett adjusters that are Free of chargenot the actual big ticket items like my Air con kit or my fuel tank.

Time line for today:
1-email recieved from Frank 27 april 2012 3.07am (melbourne Time) your tank shipping next week. Working on the other stuff.
In this email frank has copied me in on a reply email from Hector at ricks tanks sent to frank 26 april 2012 12.54pm (florida time) saying that they will ship to him next week. (again Frank tells me that drop ship means direct to my shipper from the manufacturer) I repeat that i ordered this tank back in January 2012 its been 3 months And he claims that they will be completed next week. How convienent! When i rang Ricks this morning there time they said that they didnt have a order from frank to ship it to me direct. (the plot thickens)

2-Email from usps 27 april 3.16am (melbourne time) saying something shipping to an address in Garden Grove california but doesnt state what. ( turns out to be my free bonnet adjusters) BTW wrong shipper this address was for a guy who was loading containers a month or so again and it would of been here by now if shipped to him then.

3- Email recieved from prodigy 27 april 2012 8.52am (melbourne time)
I sent a update on the tank, will have tracking on the shocks, including the rears tomorrow as they did not get to me today.
Fesler hood adjust shipped from us today. thank you Frank serafine .
This was in reply to my emails ststing that he had 12 hrs to contact me before i went public.

I MIGHTbe able to divert the QA1, ill have to check when they open

Lisa sent tracking for the hood adjusters. Nothing i can do about that. If there is no one at that address to recieve those, i will just write those off and send another set

Now its great to see somthing allegedley moving towards a resolution. Now to see if it actually shows up at either shipper.

Ok update time Frank answered the phone!!! We spoke and i thanked him for the communications today so that i can see that things are happening. He reassures me that they are chasing things up and he only has to find my Vintage air con kit. I reassured frank that i will pay for the rear shocks that he is putting into my order he has stated dont worry about it. Now im happy to pay for them its just i want to get them first. I think that most of you guys who are following this feedback forum will understand my statement there.
So fingers crossed that we finalise this issues shortly.

To those that have sent me PM's again i thank you all for your words of advice and encouragement thru this. I do find it a shame that i have to make my issues so public but as can be seen it has oiled a sticky wheel and started the sale process again.

Woo hoo I can say that ive finally got my 2 free bonnet adjusters to my shippers. Now i just have to wait for all the other that ive paid for.
Its Wednesday12.15am here in melb and google tells me its 10.15am Florida Time. Ive just spoken with Frank and he is hoping to have this all sorted by the middle of next week. He says he will send me emails with updates as soon as he heres from his suppliers.
I will keep you all informed as we go thru this.

Latest new is my shocks are in transit im following their progress via the tracking number.

Now news on my air con kit or my tank as yet.

Frank seems to be getting it done at last.

Latest update is i sent frank a email asking about my fuel tank and air con kit. He has replied that he will check with ricks today (there was a family loss so he hasnt heard from him which is fair) As for my long awaited air con its supossed to be tuesday or wednesday. So still waiting.
Ive been sent a tracking number for my shocks and they are due to be dropped off on the 8th.
I will keep you informed when they arrive.

I am having trouble understanding the holdup in the shipping of my A/C kit, you yourself have stated to me firstly it was sent to the wrong address, then you got it back, you've checked its complete,but it still hasnt been sent. Whats the hold up? Its well on the way to being nine months since i paid for this particular item. Surely it cant be that hard to send it to me.

Sorry for the delayed response, taveling today and just got into the room.

The A/C shipped on friday but was coming to me at my shop, Vintage Air did a redirect with UPS and it will show your address when it updates at UPS in the morning.
I will check with Ricks in the morning on the tank.

WOW it has finally shipped this must be the longest travelled Air Con kit ever somehow its ended up back at vintage air before its been sent to me again!
That is a good lesson why you shouldnt lie as its hard to remember the tale that you have said! Again i can supply ALL the original correspondence between Frank and I to verify all of the above.
So Now we await the story re my fuel tank. I have been contacted by Rick directly and he has informed me that he only recieved the order for my tank was only verbally ordered on the 5/9/2012!

Again thanks to this website letting me make my expierence public is I believe the only reason as to why i am Finally getting my Items at last, Thank you Pro touring.com

I will keep you all informed up until i have recieved ALL my parts.

Ok this should be my second last update on these issues that i have expierenced with Prodigy customs.
The good news is my A/C kit appears to have arrived at my shippers in California. I say appears as due to it being rerouted from going to frank then to my shipper it was rerouted direct to my shipper so it appears to be incorrectly labeled, so im just waiting on confirmation from them that they have it and can re label it to me.
And i got a message from my other shipper that my fuel tank has arrived the box is a bit damaged but it all appears well inside. Now i just have to wait to have it put in a couple of containers and shipped to me here in oz.

I do have to point out that since i made my issues public that Franks communication has been good and he only needed a few emails for updates to keep me informed as to what was happening. I first made my concerns public on the 27th April and it took him just short of a month to get my paid for items to my shippers. And as soon as i have my items here in Australia i will be paying frank for my rear shocks for which he has put in to this delivery.

I will also be giving frank another chance in the future for no doubt he knows his stuff and i do appreciate all that he does for the pro touring movement. Im just dissappointed that i had to make public my concerns as to where my money had gone.

I also want to thank the team at Pro-touring.com for giving me a place to make public my concerns and to finally get the wheels rolling on my items. Again i say to anyone out there who is being stuffed around by a supplier to make it public so we all can judge the business and let us then decide who we spend our hard earned dollars with.

Hello everyone in light of a few PMs that Ive received recently I thought that I would give you all an update. As of today 28/8/2012 I haven't received my parts in person. Presently I'm in china and I will be back in australia on the weekend. I have received 2 calls from the shippers that my parts have arrived in oz. when I go and pick them up I just have to hope that they are correct! I hope to be able to confirm that this saga is over for me on Monday.
To all those others going thru the stress and uncertainty of dealing with frank. Don't give up! keep at it don't let him win. It would be hard to sleep at night when your living off of other peoples hard earned dollars and giving nothing in return. And remember Karma is a winner!

Woo Hoo I have my parts !!! 14 months from when i placed my first order i have finally recieved them.

Now Frank as i stated above i will pay for the rear shocks that you have sent me. Please let me know how much you want and how you would like me to pay. If i dont answer just leave me a message and i will look into it and get back to you......

As of now i will never deal with Prodigy Customs ever again. Its expierences such as this that turn people away from our hobby. In future i will deal with big name companys direct as all the stress isnt worth the small saving when buying online and shipping here to Australia. Reading thru all the other issues now on this forum i reckon that you guys organise a cruise to Prodigy and everyone that he owes parts and money rock up enmasse and confront him directly. I wish i was there to join in.
