Hello,

I haven't really posted a project build yet because I am still doing some of the thinking through of my project, and I bought a TR6060 out of a corvette last week. I got it today, and was looking at the rear housing, and it should easily mate with the transfer case I plan to run. I know I need to shorten the output shaft before that can happen.

I was wondering if I could setup a shifter so I don't need to change the transmission internals since the shifter lever mount comes out of the front of the transmission. By running a remote shifter linkage I think I could do that as the engine will be set back into the firewall anyways.

If I were to keep the standard input shaft would I need to also build a custom bellhousing? Isn't the input shaft on a corvette tr6060 longer than one from a camaro, cts-v, challenger, or mustang?

Hello,

I don't know what your building.

But I have a 2010 Camaro 6060. It came with the stock shifter and of course it hangs out the back also.

I bought a shifter to install on the top. Its called a t-56 shifter but it was designed for the 6060.

The last thing I wanted was to have the back of the 6060 replaced... (some guys will tell you this is the only way).

The info you need is here.

I went with this guys exact same part, even though I am running a pontiac. That "dimension" is for a stock camaro.

They do not list this part and Red has retired. It is like 1 inch over and 3 inches back. Since I am going with a custom console I figured that was pretty close, obviously the camaro is different from the GTO. I can have an adjusting bar welded if needed. Its a "no notch" shifter(notches are in the tranny). Obviously you distance will be different if your not using a camaro. I will make mine fit, it sounds like they will work with you on the size and distance, your best to mock it up and give them a call.

3 inches is the max the shifter can be set backwards or forwards btw.
