I just bought another complete left side assembly for my Trans am to complete the pair of left sides for my staggered shocks. The last thing that I would need before I do the rear brake upgrade would be to get the spacers that are required to center the caliper on the axle. I have seen them before, but not sure what company sells them. Just to be clear, I am not looking for wheel spacers, they are a spacer that goes between the backing plate and the flange on the axle housing.
Thanks,
Ryan

While not specifically made for the swap, these bearing retainers are the correct thickness and have the correct bolt pattern. They might need to have the ID of the big hole enlarged very slightly which is a simple task with a carbide burr in a die grinder. The ones you want are "GM 10 & 12 bolt, car". http://www.dutchmanaxles.com/products/hd-axle-bearing-retainer-plates

The ones above cost a lot less though.

On my S10 rear discs, I cut the center out of the drum brake backing plates to use as spacers. But they were 1/8" thick, not 3/16".

Thanks for the tip on the axle retainers Al. I will go with those. I was contemplating making my own, but I couldn't make them and get them plated for what they are selling them for.
