I checked and they are on nataional back order in this size and 275-40-17..
I can get a 245-45-17 for the front and move the 275-40 I have on the front to the back or get another brand of tire in 275-40..

Need some advise !!!

It does not look like the cut is into the cords. If it was my tire I would drive it but keep an eye on it.

I don't think so either it looks about 1/2 of the tread depth but is almost all the way across deeper in the center.
Ive never seen one cut do straight accross.
I am going to my first road course that is what I am mainly concerned about cruising would not scare me do much.if I need to replace it I was looking at the nitto nt05
lot the toyo 1R1 in 275/40/17 or putting the 245 kuhmo xs on the front.

Summit says they can ship some out on the 30th, if you want to replace it I would call them to confirm that they can get it to you since it states that the part if usually shipped from the manufacturer

or like you said, just find a pair of something else

I called summit and they are zero stocked as well.
Wish I knew for sure what was bad I hate to throw money away, but I don't want to be stupid and
not replace them if there is a real risk.
