Help with my Stance

Hello All,

I would appreciate any guidance towards some top notch suspension mods for my '70 Chevelle. I would only be interested in some bolt-on products. Even though I have done some driveline mods to her, I still have everything to change her back to an original L34 car.

Help, what's hot out there right now? I have a Global West Negative Roll system (not installed yet) but, I am reading this system has a lot of faults? Should I sell this system? How about Fatman's 2" dropped "B" spindles?

Yes, I know I need to get those station wagon springs changed out for starters!!!! The tunnel ram and 427 / 4 speed combo has been upgraded.

Please remember, it has to be bolt on.

I know it really ain't "G Machine" spec, but that 'Velle looks BAD-AZZ-A-MUNDO with that t-ram pokin' through the hood! I've always been a sucka for that look. :cool: Oh well, what ever the case, you have one hell of a nice ride there! Good luck with your foray into the "G Zone!"

The only real faults are that it uses the "B" spindle and the initial cost. While cost can be ignored the tall spindles and their inherent problems cannot. I'd use the upper and lower arms you already got (the GW ones) and even the springs and shocks if you got them too. For spindles look into running the ATS spindle or running stockers with some SC&C tall ball joints and the C5 brackets to run 13" brakes and PBR calipers.



For rear springs I recommend the stock car 12” pigtail versions…the 150lbs should work fine.

Thanks for the kind words. The tunnel ram looked cool but, it didn't function too well on the street unless she was reving above 3,500 RPM.

It is because of you I have been really searching and reading a lot of suspension theory. I read a lot of your posts at the "Team Chevelle Forum". I frequent your website suspension area too. Your Elky looks tops.

I got the little woman talked into buying me the Wolfe Craft rear upper adjustable arms and their trick bearing for the rear housing! Yes, she is a keeper!

I already have the global west lower rear arms installed, what do you think of these? I know you like the Wolfe Craft lowers for their adjustability.
