Does anyone know what steering joint I would need to use my rebuilt factory tilt column to my rack and pinion? I'm pretty sure it is a fox body rack on my JRS frame. I have tried to sell it to get an aftermarket column but no luck yet...
Thanks

While I can't help you out completely I know the Fox rack to be a 3/4" 36 spline mount. I shortened a 4th Gen column, used 3/4 double D to get from the column to the rack, where I used a 3/4 double D shaft to 3/4 46 spline adapter u joint.
Everything I used was purchased from Jegs.

Yea, I guess I should have asked the question better. I am not sure what size the end of my column is and if it will work the same as an aftermarket column. The ends are a lot different in design than an ididit or flaming river column. If I find out the correct size will it work? Coulda swore I read on here you needed to change something else but can't find it now. Thanks for the help!

To use it you'll need to find a way to adapt the rag joint mount to 36 spline. If I stuck with the stock column I planned on building an adapter to mount to double D shaft. If something currently exists to do so I'm not aware of it.

Ok thanks, I know speedway motors sells an adapter for it that may work, still need to do some more research.

Aarik, Aarik, Aarik...shoulda called one of your buddiez and gotten the answer sooner :)
3/4-36 on the rack as mentioned. I would bet same on the column. Also good first call is Bourgeson. They pretty much know every combo. Take care Bro!
