12 bolt rebuild

I recently ordered a new ring and pinion, carbon fiber clutches and new springs for my Eaton posi 12 bolt rear end. I had already bought new Moser axles some time ago. I decided to buy new c-clips for the axles. When I received the new c-clips, I noticed they were copper. Are these sufficient enough for a performance oriented 67 Camaro?

I believe the c-clips are just copper in color only, they should be steel. I ordered some c-clips in different sizes and the color indicated what thickness the clip was, but both were steel.
