Hello all, I made this same post in LS1tech and i think i will get good feedback here too here is what i posted. I have decided i will go with 3 piece wheels
here is the post.

Hey guys/gals i am doing weight reduction on my car and one of the things i wanna do is reduce the unsprung weight! My current street setup weight around ~55lbs per wheel with tires. My wheels alone probably weight around 25-30lbs.

So im looking to get new wheels my son has a wheel shop that they make wheels so ima go get my wheel wells measured cause i want a BIG LIP! I also wanted to know what other guys are running to get the best of the worlds a wheel can have. My current wheels are drift r for the street ccw for the track with skinnies in the front. also not sure whether to go with 1pc or 3pc. my son says to go 3 piece cause how custom i can get but not sure. even though i think my ccw are 3 piece so i think he has a point LOL. post pix of your performance wheels setups i would like to see it!!

Take a look at the designs from Formula 43. www.formula43.com
We have aligned ourselves with one of the most trusted names in the aftermarket, Detroit Speed and Engineering as our distributor to the pro-touring market . With years of combined experience, Formula 43 manufactures over 90% of our own parts, machines, finishes and assembles all of our own wheels in our facility outside of Detroit, Michigan. We use rotary forged 6061 aluminum centers for lighter weight and stiffer spokes along with our exclusive spin form technology to manufacture our own inner and outer rim shells. This gives us our advantage over other wheel manufactures as Formula 43 wheels have an improved safety bead on the both inner and outer rims to ensure proper seating of the tire and that the tire will stay mounted to the rim in the event of impact or loss of air pressure. Improved rim contour to help ease of tire mounting and bead seating and added material in specific areas of the rim-half for additional strength and stiffness. All of this technology teamed up with the trusted name of Detroit Speed and Engineering equals a formula for winning. also what size lips?

What vehicle are they for? The size of the lip is a by-product of where the center is placed in relation to backspacing.

Depending on the backspace and brake clearance you require an 18x9 comes in between 18.5 and 21 lbs, the 18x10.5 between 20 and 22 lbs.
The outer lip will depend on what backspace you need. Please let me know if I can assist with anything else.

i also dont mind if the rim sticks out like 1/4-3/8 of an inch. the fender is cut flat and pulled abit the inside also has been modified so it doesnt rub in the inside.

You will never fit a very deep lip wheel on a new GTO. You could pick a wheel design that has spokes that bend back inward that give the look of a deep lip. Rims sticking out of the wheel well not only looks bad but will most likely destroy your tires and the paint on your fenders.
