So I had talked previously to perry at PTS and one of the guys at Driverzinc. Apparently both places are not taking care of their people right now soo where can I RELIABLY order wheels from.

Go direct to the manufacturer.

Depending on what brand you are looking for. I bought my old Bonspeeds from these guys...great customer service even AFTER the sale. And..they are still in business...so that's always a plus. http://www.newstalgiawheel.com/

I second that. I bought a set of wheels and tires for my old '76 Vette from Newstalgia and then I ordered a set for a '71 Blazer 4x4 I had. Newstalgia doesn't even deal in off road wheels and tires but they were still able to get me what I needed for a great price!

Go direct to the manufacturer.

+1

That's what I would say.

Buying from a vendor seems like a good deal if they cut you a discount but it seems some of the vendors here might not be worth the risk. Straight from the manufacturer might be the only way to guarantee (as much as one can) you don't end up burned. And always pay with a credit card.

It sucks that a few knuckleheads are wrecking it for the other honest dealers. I mean for all parts, not just for wheels.

Most vendors, Forgeline included, have a dealer locator on their website. There are several dealers in California and Matt's Classic Bowties is one of them. I would try them.

I would say Forgeline or maybe Prodigy? I have never ordered wheels form them, but did get good service on some other suspension parts ordered in the past.

If you want Forgelines call Frank at Prodigy Customs, Im pretty sure he said he was Forgelines largest dealer awhile back. Seems like most people here that buy Forgelines go through Frank.

In light of recent events, I wouldn't pay in full for anything unless is was directly through the manufacturer. I have seen far too many vendor issues lately to give someone $3-5k of their hard earned money and get nothing in return.

Take a look at the designs from Formula 43. www.formula43.com
We have aligned ourselves with one of the most trusted names in the aftermarket, Detroit Speed and Engineering as our distributor to the pro-touring market . With years of combined experience, Formula 43 manufactures over 90% of our own parts, machines, finishes and assembles all of our own wheels in our facility outside of Detroit, Michigan. We use rotary forged 6061 aluminum centers for lighter weight and stiffer spokes along with our exclusive spin form technology to manufacture our own inner and outer rim shells. This gives us our advantage over other wheel manufactures as Formula 43 wheels have an improved safety bead on the both inner and outer rims to ensure proper seating of the tire and that the tire will stay mounted to the rim in the event of impact or loss of air pressure. Improved rim contour to help ease of tire mounting and bead seating and added material in specific areas of the rim-half for additional strength and stiffness. All of this technology teamed up with the trusted name of Detroit Speed and Engineering equals a formula for winning. For more information visit our web site at www.formula43.com or contact the guys at Detroit Speed and engineering.

As always, thanks for your support.

Please don't lump all wheel vendors into the same trouble bucket. Some of us actually run legit licensed companies with a surplus in a business bank account. I've never waited longer than 1 business day to place wheel orders, after payment is received. If you need industry references, I carry all the major brands of forged wheels. You'll never find any history of slow payments, non-deliveries, etc..

Want to know more about us? Here ya go: http://www.dv8motoring.com/about-us/

As for Forgeline, since it was mentioned, we've been selling about 6-8 sets per month. Mark or David can vouch for that. And, they always get paid ASAP.

Thanks
