This past weekend "Fast Mary" Pozzi took top honors at the Del Mar Goodguys Rod and Custom autocross competition. Mary won not just her 200-treadwear class, but she also beat every competitors time including the "Pro" division cars where some very heavy hitters were shooting for the title. Mary won by 0.008 seconds. Given the speeds on the track, that equates to just a tad over 2". Yes, 2".
She used every ounce of skill and car preparation to take the win. Rick's Tanks and VaporWorx are proud that she chose to use our products to help her get there. Like the VaporWorx motto says, "We Gave Her Gas" even when there was very little fuel remaining in the tank. Congratulations Mary!

Congrats Mary! I'm not surprised she won. I've see her drive in person. She makes it look easy. She'll look "slower" on the course but will actually be faster...AMAZING!
yes Mary rocked the win, and in true racer fashion all runs from the weekend were tossed out and the top 2 cars went head to head, 1 lap, 1 shot to win it all, Kudos to Aaron and Mary to finish the 2 day series that way, Aaron had been the winner all weekend and Mary holding a 2nd place, but when the 1 run to win came about, Mary stepped up and pushed the nose of Jenny Craig that .0008 of a second faster

Way to go Mary!
I continue to watch and learn from all of you fast folks. BTW-The Vaporworx's set-up works awesome for me too! I wish Carl could program that thing to control my right foot, now that would be a total package for me>LOL

LOL! There's an easier way for that. In golf the joke is in order to keep your head down during the swing one should tie a string with one end around the cranium and the other around the "male anatomy." Do the same but tie it around the right foot.

Oh, Man!! It was an outstanding weekend playing cars with friends and enjoying the So. Cal. scenery. What's interesting is I usually monitor fuel level like a hawk does a chicken coop and try to add a bit at that 1/2 full mark. With all the focus going to driving <and this was the most "behind the wheel" pressure I've ever had thanks to Aaron Ogawa>, I totally overlooked the fuel gauge and every other gauge on that panel until I was back at the Hotchkis booth. Looking down, the fuel level was pretty low ... like almost empty low which, to me coming from carburetors and mechanical fuel pumps, is a major YIKES!!
Rick's Tanks and VaporWorx kept the engine happy throughout all the tossing rights, lefts, and standing the Camaro on its nose. When I got home, I reviewed the sheet Carl left with the tank and at the "eighth" mark (or close), that's about a gallon of fuel left. That, folks, would never have kept the engine running, much less with no fuss, for any autocross lap had the car been equipped with any other fuel delivery system!
Thanks, Rick's and VaporWorx!!

Yes you will, Matt. I'll make sure to put some good "go fast" mojo on that tank.

I was just telling my wife about Mary recently, trying to inspire her to try out autocross. She thought it was cool that women are doing well, but I don't think she'll be behind the wheel any time soon. ;(
Way-2-go Mary! I hope I get the honor of having my trash kicked by you at an event one day!

What a sweetheart to get Dave a matching gas tank for his battle rig. What a true competitor.
I just hope he gets the sides put in. LOL

Good stuff Mary...its always fun to watch you cap off a strong weekend with the strongest run at the end! I told Any and Sara that you won and they did the two man wave for you!

Bret and everyone else ...
Like I mentioned back in November, those "Triple-Throwdowns" (my new pet name for these shocks) were a key part of getting that orange sled around that course. The surface was somewhat bumpy and as everyone knows, a shock works best when it keeps the tire from bouncing along the ground and while this concept sounds very simple, it's not. The reason? The level of pavement surfaces is never consistent. With these RideTech shocks, I'm able to offer additional tuning to compliment the Hotchkis underpinnings which keeps the car, and me, smiling.
Over the last six months or so, the car has been run at several local events, OUSCI, and a couple of track days. I'm getting this shock adjustment stuff down pretty good and it's easy to recognize and then adjust bump and rebound depending on track situations. Gotta say the Camaro's working pretty well for this Good Guys stuff ...
We've gotta trade cars sometime, Bret. Maybe when you get that street rod done.

I'm really good with putting you in the 33 Ford...at least you'll fit in it! We're about a week from firing. As long as nothing implodes we'll be testing the next week:) It's REALLY looking good. http://www.ridetech.com/33ford/?p=154&pid=340&pageid=154
