Doesn't look bad. Don't like the idea of a 4 door mustang. Change the front and back, and call it something else.

From a sales standpoint it could be a smart move since it actually looks pretty good and Ford doesn't have a RWD 4 door.

I agree, since Ford was stupid and axed the crown vic, they need a 4 door RWD. I would buy one if I could get the performance with it.

Ford has the all wheel drive 4 door Taurus SHO that is leaps and bounds better than the Mustang.

Holy crap! The person listed as the illustrator has my first name! I've never seen anyone else with my name. That's cool.

As for a four door Mustang, yeah, it's a April Fool's joke. However, it doesn't look bad and the Charger seems to be selling just fine as a four door. Ford may need to think about this a little. Even if they do change the name, performance sedans seem to sell well through out. They could keep the Taurus SHO as a high end car and a four door sport sedan could compete against the Charger, G8, BWM etc etc

We (Australia) already build a 4 door Mustang...and its called the Falcon...comes with a pretty hot 5.4 and soon to have the Coyote V8.

We've been building the Falcon name plate here since 1961 I think....they just did a 50th Anniversary Falcon last year. I don't know anywhere else they've been building them this long.

falcons in australia are damn beautiful... they recently stopped making them inline 6 turbo though :-(

I'm not sure where....besides rear seat leg room.

:slap:It's almost 4400lbs.....and does mid 13's stock.
The AWD helps move that big land barge into the 13's because without it, = joke.

Mustangs would destroy that barge.

BTW That concept Falcon you posted looks cool from that angle, but the only similarities
I can see with a Mustang is the front fascia having 4th gen Mustang cue lines.
The rest looks more like a Subaru Impreza, but I see they use alot of the Mustang stripes on them.

Hmmm That actually looks like a sport version of the Fusion. Just add stripes and facia. Is it rear wheel drive? the Fusion is not.

Beats our Curvy ass girly falcon any day.

Might actually compete with the Commodore on Toughness levels alone. LOL!
Ah well, Muscle cars are dying again.

Anyone wanna make a bet that 5 years from now, we all go to little 4 bangers again..

Then 17 years from then Ford Releases a Honker stonkin' V8 monster because we found a new fuel source that's great for muscle cars...

Funny how history repeats itself..

EDIT: IMO, our Aussie falcon is an ugly ass P.O.S, especially with the Mustang Stripe packages... doesn't suit the car, angled graphics on a curvy car? No... Our Fords lost sales to holden because ford Australia doesn't know how to sell a high performance car - Girly looks + Some good power = Doesn't sell well. Even WOMEN were buying the V8 Commodores because they looked nicer, newer and better... which they do. Ford needs a Mustang nose, and angular tail lights to even be able to sell the Falcon in large numbers.

The only time in the History of Ford that a girl car (marketed AT women) sold in big numbers was the 64-66 Mustang, and that's cause it was low weight, easy to cut up, and could hold a decent sized engine.

So I say - Bring back the Coupes Australia.
Give us back our Landau!
