My duster is running a 360 w/ an edelbrock 1406 carb. I have a 7psi electric fuel pump setup because the magnum engine has no provisions for a mechanical fuel pump. However, i learned recent that 7psi was way too high for the carb and that they need 5.5psi at idle. So i bought a spectre brand dead head regulator that is easily adjusted to 5.5psi.
I started the car up and it didnt want to idle on its own for long. Even after warming up it stayed at about 500rpm and idled rough. So i adjusted the idle screw so it would idle smoother around 750-800rpm.
Then i gave the engine a quick revv and it doesnt even sound like a V8 even though it idles that way. I checked all my spark plug wires and started it/shut it off a few times and it dieseled once during these tests.
As you'll see in these videos.Startup:(still cold):

revving again, maybe a little clearer in this vid:

Is it just a mixture screw issue and that the engine is too lean?
Note: Nothing else has been changed since i last drove the car. Only the added regulator and idle screw adjustment.
