I am usually reserved with my opinions or name calling but, after watching his inability to drive either car and then pass opinion, he's a Tool

I think he's comparing the Hotchkis Mustang to the new Shelby GT500, which puts out 650hp and handles pretty well.

Not sure.

I know I saw a video of Tanner Foust test driving the new (2013) Shelby GT500 convertible. But maybe Matt was talking about the current one, still 550hp. I drove one last year and the tires didn't stand a chance of holding traction. Matt Farrah says the same thing about the Mustang in his video. Too much engine for those tires.

I wasn't aware the track had the same speed limit as the 2 lane road in front of the Elementary School in town.

Didn't he drive CarlC's car for the Hotchkis Comparison video?

I thought he drove CarlC's car on an episode of The Car Show.

***Edit***

Looks like he drove the Superbird on that show, and Dan Neil drove the '68 Camaro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PF81Ocq0ips

That guy finished last place at Optima last year.... and he has a modified (not sure how much) late model Vette. That's pretty bad. LOL

Umm... a few things to keep in mind here before you start bashing Matt Farah. First off Matt is one of the nicest guys you're ever likely to meet. He created his own automotive shows while others out there just bitched about a lack of content on the web and or TV (Garage419, The Smoking Tire, TUNED, host on The Car Show). He's also done this because he simply loves cars and everything that has to do with them. In regards to the Hotchkis episode. Go back and re-watch it before you comment. Matt's first time behind the wheel was at a full-on track day which means he was not only being cautious, but mindful of the fact that he didn't want to stack someones 40 year old car, plus he was running in the advanced group.

As for Optima - Matt was a last minute entrant running on 5 year old tires. He went with "ZERO" prep time with the goal of simply having fun at the event, so I wouldn't judge his driving prowess based on one instance. Trust me, I've driven with him and he can drive.

Say what you will, but Matt's a good guy and in my opinion a great asset to the car hobby.

So, if he's being overly cautious, then how would it be fair to review any car?

You can be cautious and review a car at the same time - hell, give me a car for 30 minutes on any nice back road and I can tell you whether is good or not. You don't need to be driving 10/10ths to give a fair assessment.

And i dont agree given the type of review he's doing.

Fair enough - you don't need to agree.

No one said he wasn't a nice guy.

When you put yourself out there in the public eye and create TV shows and purport to be a qualified tester of cars you better be open to criticism.

Everyone had excuses at Optima... some people forgot to bring their tire warmers. LOL

Most Dorks are genuinely nice guys. Mean Dorks are called a**holes. I haven't heard anyone call him that.

However fast he was driving doesn't matter. I could watch E-maxx at pit speeds and be entertained.
