C6 wheels on 67 GTO what size spacers would i need??

Will C6 wheels work on a 67 GTO with spacers 18x8s and 19x10s rear. Stock dimensions on rear and I don't believe fronts changed with new disc setup. What size spacers would I need if any??

Please help I can get a set for cheap.

I put C6 wheels on my 71 el camino I'm using 2 inch spacers in the front and 2.5 in the rear

I had some c5 z06 replica wheels (18x9.5 and 18x10.5) on my 71 Chevelle. I used the same spacers as bmiller also. 2.5 on the front and 2 on the rear. I'm not sure if you would use the same or not on 64-67 abodies as the 68-72. I wouldn't worry about the wheel spacers as far as strength or reliability goes. Just get a billet spacer with hardened 1/2 inch studs and you will be fine. Also upgrade your current studs in your axles and hubs to larger and longer studs. You won't have any problems with the spacers if you do that and monitor wheel torque. The only thing I wouldn't do is go on a road course with them. Here is a pic of my 71 with the z06 wheels.

i already have 1/2" long studs on the rear and 7/16" ARP long studs on the front so where do i get the spacers and a set of black ZO6 wheels

Damn that looks good what size brake you running?? After thinking about 18's and up I'm only running at 12" rotor and single piston Caliper you think it will look funny??

With those wheels I was running c5 z06 brakes up front and 12 inch explorer brakes in the rear. The c5 brakes looked good in the front but the rears looked a little puny. Now I have 20x10 intros in the rear and 18x9 in the front and I am using c6 z06 front and rear brakes. 12 inch single piston brakes may look a little small but put the wheels on and see what it looks like.

Panchoblue- I got the spacers from eBay. Just be careful to which material and studs they are made of. I got the wheels from a local place in dfw for about 85 each. I'm sure they are the same ones oe wheels sells.

Ebay is a good spot to find spacers. Lots of options available.

However, I think you will probably run into some problems with 10s on the rear. My 66 chevelle had room for 10" wheels stock but I recall reading the GTOs have slightly more restrictive wheel wells that limit you to 9" or so.

On my 66 chevelle I needed 5.75-6" or backspacing to run a 10" wheel before I got to cutting.

In your shoes I would try to find someone with some 10" wheels you can test fit and measure what back spacing you need.


On the tires visit the nitto tires website and check out the sizes for the 555s that fit whatever wheel width you end up with. IMO chevelles need between a 25.5-30 inch tire depending on stance. The tires designed for BMWs and the like just look too short but that is just my opinion. If you like the look it is your car.
