FWIW, the last batch of Brakequip M12x1.5 ISO bubble flare nuts for 3/16" tubing (BQ9193 (http://www.brakequip.com/tubenuts.html)) I bought did not work with the C5 Corvette master cylinder, as the snout of the nut bottomed out against the sealing surface before the tube did. I spoke with the tech guy at Brakequip, so it's possible that the issue has been resolved by now, but worth asking about.

Good to know, Tobin. Can the excess material be removed on a lathe?
Another source is Williams Oil Filter Service in Tacoma, WA. They carry both thread pitches of 12mm tube nuts in 3/16" and 1/4" tube sizes.
Edit: Just checked my receipt and the fittings from Williams are Brakequip fittings. I'll test them tonight to see how they fit.

Yes, you can reduce the snout diameter on a lathe and they'll work just fine...or if you're desperate, a file or sander can be made to do the trick. The M12x1.5 Brakequip tube nuts that we received had a thread lead-in at the minor diameter of the thread to aid in starting the nut while reducing the risk of cross threading, which I'm sure it helped with, however the combination of snout length and the 11mm diameter created an interference as indicated by both leaking and a hard witness line on the conical sealing surface of the master cylinder outlet port due to the nut bottoming out prior to the tube sealing.

I see now. The Brakequip fittings have this issue also. Putting a chamfer on the snout worked fine.
