Has or does anyone have a ramjet 502 in their car? i have a 78 camaro im looking to put one into and i was wondering how fast i can expect it to go. i figure the car should weigh around 3500ish lbs when im done. leafspring suspension with some cal-tracs and a 9" rear 370ish gear. (will be running 5spd manual). Thanks!

I've got a pretty similar setup in a 1stgen '68 - RamJet 502, DSE 3" drop leafs, Cal-Tracs, 9" running 3.70's, TKO 600. Car is having paint/bodywork done now, so we'll know more in a few months... Sounds mean so far though... I'd be very interested to find out how much it weighs. :3gears:

What arms, springs, bar are you guys running up front?

rockdogz - did you have some clearance issues on your driver's side radiator support?

Chris Alston front end and suspension (unequal tubular A-arms, varishock coilovers with 600Lb springs)

No clearance issues I think - not sure what you mean?

Just got home from the track. I ran my car tonite for the first time it was very hot 96 degrees and the track sucked. I drove it about 45 miles to the track and we ran 12.47 and 12.48 spinning all the way through 1rst gear. Then i drove it home. It only had a 1.95 60ft so i think theres more in it but was hoping for 11.99. I guess i'll wait til it cools off and try again. The track isnt prepped on street car mites either so definitely wait for a Saturday race night. Anyhow I hope this helps answer you et question. One other thing the car has a 4.10 gear and it was just hitting the rev limiter in at the end of the quarter. I dont see any way to raise the rev limit with the stock ecm but i think if it quits spinning it wont go through so high rpms
