Heya guys, I've been away for a long time, but I thought I'd drop by again.

I started on my 70RS in 1982. It was from Ohio and of course had some rust. I was working at a GM dealer back in the day and replaced all of the sheet metal with OEM panels.

Motor is a .060 over 350, Edelbrock heads, B&M TH350 and converter. 8.5 rear with 3:73 posi, VBP suspension front and rear, Boyd's 17" rims with Nitto 555 tires, Harwood hood, etc.

A few pics.

I've wanted a 68 Camaro since I was 12. It took me almost 20 years but I finally bought one last year.

I bought 67 and 68 shells, $2000 for both and sold the 67 for $2000

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2015/06/j9bbq4P-1.jpg

They both sat like that in a field for over 20 years but surprisingly the bottoms were as solid as can be

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2015/06/lQt5FIL-1.jpg

It needs quarters and a tail panel for sure, but I always expected to pay a lot more for a much worse shell. I strapped a spare 2nd gen axle to it

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2015/06/iCeDbTz-1.jpg

Put some casters on the front and stashed it out back for now.

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2015/06/g7T3brk-1.jpg

I have good used doors and a decent deck lid, I'll probably buy all the sheet metal soon but it'll have to wait until a couple others are done. I've got a spare 2nd gen sub frame I might modify to fit. I'll either put a 6.0 or a cheap 454 in it. I don't have anything with a BBC and I have plenty of LS engines.

Wow there are a lot of beautiful Camaro's on here! I don't think my 69 is worthy of the level that so many of these cars are at in here. Mine is a driver that I have had since 83 when I bought it in high school. It's kind of a resto-mod / mild pro-touring.. Hoping to thrash it auto-x'ing and at track days next year.

I love this Speedway Motors 1968 Camaro. I saw it and met some of their team at the Sandhills Open Road Challenge. It is a beautiful car in and out, and definitely out of the box. It is one of my favorite F-bodies.

In the background is the HHR SS that we raced. It's not a Camaro, but ran with the big dogs for 55 miles of open road in Central Nebraska.

This beauty belongs to Dave Wallace of Speedway motors. It is street driven and ran 153 mph in the half mile. Very well built and impressive to watch.

This is a very impressive Camaro.

I knew a guy that Road Raced a HHR SS at Road Atlanta - he did run with the Big Dogs, but as I remembered he had a bunch of Transmission problems.

Robbie Unser just drove it to victory at the Goodguys Southeast Nationals. He's a very good driver, but the car is very fast. I hear that rear end really sticks, and is a big improvement over the live axle.

The stock HHR transmission is limited. Between the transmission and the clutch being weak links, we put in a mild tune. We were just shy of 300 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque. That way we stayed within the limits of the stock clutch and transmission. It was enough for the 90 mph class. We limited the torque in first and second. It would sometimes spin the tires in third. It was a lot of fun.

Hey guys,
I work at Cook Performance in Woodstock, NB, Canada and we just finished this 1969 Camaro with a brand new LT5 engine in it. She is currently on her way to Scottsdale for Barrett-Jackson's auction (lot 1318.1) and she'll cross the block on Saturday, January 18th 2020.....

The 69 is powered by a Shafiroff 540 cubic inch big block engine. Wheels are by BOZE with disc brakes by Wilwood. The Camaro also sits on air-ride and runs Flowmaster mufflers.
