Does anyone have a favorite tuner or recommendation of someone who I can send my e40 ECM to for a startup tune? My engine is a stock spec LS1 that's had the proper stuff changed to run the e40 ECM from a GTO. I just need someone that'll do a good job without breaking my wallet in half.
I appreciate any suggestions - hoping to have my car running with the new engine inside 4 weeks!

I used Geoff at Engine Power Systems with good results:

My cam was a custom Pat G spec using EPS lobes so that may have helped.

PCM of NC was great, and they ask all the right questions before starting the reprogramming.

Nothing but great feedback on EPS. You may also want to try:

Wow talk about digging up an old thread. My car's been running on Geoff @ EPS' tune for over a year. I ran it for the first time last year at RToS. I had an opportunity to get Mike Norris to look at the tune at RToS because I wanted to check the cooling fan tables and he advised that it looked like a good tune for a stock LS1 with open intake and exhaust. Mike had no suggestions on top of what Geoff had already done.
The engine runs S-T-R-O-N-G and has a ton of torque compared to the old engine, which was a heavily modded LT1 with a CC305 cam. I've let a couple guys ride along and drive the car. Both said it was pretty strong for a fresh built LS1. I'm really happy with how it turned out even though I'd love to have a lopey idle like the LT1 did...
