I almost bought a 69 with these polished 20 inch Boyd Junkyard Dog wheels on it, Loved the wheels but liked another Chevelle more. I cant get over how those wheels looked on that car, so...
I understand these are not an inexpensive brand of wheels- but what Im finding online is considerably higher than I expected, anyone have the ability to sell these at a better price?
Thanks for any input

Try Perry at PTS. I haven't purchased from him, but I see him advertise some good deals for Boyds

I would adequately research any vendor before buying from them.

I agree, you might also want to type in Perry or PTS in the in the search on this site as well as Lateral-g.net and see what you come up with if you are considering the above mentioned vendor.

Go to the Boyds website and see if there is a dealer in your area. Find the local dealer and see if they will cut you a deal.
Also related, I am looking to sell my house but realtor fees are way more than I expected. Is there someone out there that might do it for half price because full price is more than I think it should be.

As stated, have not dealt with him just noted they advertise Boyds pricing. I would expect any buyer to do their own research before purchase.

They are Ford pattern but the guy has adaptors for sale also. These are not mine nor do I have any connection to them. I just saw them while searching for a set of Smoothie II's.

Im not even sure what this was all about- Isnt this part of the reason we use sites like this?
Thanks everyone for your input- I'll see what "Perry at PTS" has to say.

If you are about to call Perry then you haven't used the site at all.
The idea that you want a deal because you think a product costs more than it should bothers me that's all.....right or wrong it's my opinion.
FWIW those wheels are very reasonably priced in that size.

Good luck getting Boyds in the first place and according to posts ordering anything from PTS is also going to exaggerate the problem. Wheels are not cheap, so if the cost of a cast center 20 is too much, stick with what you have. If you find the money to get a set of wheels and want the look of the Junkyard Dogs, look at the Billet Specialties Daggers and Mags. A little cheaper than the Boyds, and the finish is WAY better. If you want to save a few bucks, call Driverz Inc....they are a dealer.

Thanks- Really I just want a car that I can drive- that has the look, I am not concerned with it being super light or strong(it doesnt have to be a racing wheel) at this point I know my time to play is too limited and thought i would see if anyon on here had some ideas about a better place to buy, rather than some of the sites I have come aross on the internet- that very well could be trying to inflate prices- As if there arent sellers out there doing that.
There are rims out there that look very similar- like the riddlers and coys- that are much less-
Boyds are hard to get?

Why don't you look at the Billet Specialites Jason suggested. They look very similar to the JYD. I'm sure Travis would be glad to help you out.

Hi guys.
I am not very active in these forums but I probably should be. I am Chris Coddington and I own and operate Hot Rods by Boyd. We build the Junk Yard Dog and Smoothie III wheels as well as the full line of forged billet wheels.
Due to the confusion with the brand and certain problems with certain distributors I thought I would just come on here and post.
Our wheels are not hard to get. While we do have distributors that sell our wheels given the custom nature of our business we do sell direct to the consumer. We can be reached at 866-612-2693 or at billetwheel.com or hotrodsbyboyd.com.
The JYD wheels can be seen here http://hotrodsbyboyd.com/wheels/cast-series/
As far as PTS is concerned I am not sure what is going on with them. I have been trying to reach Perry for some time and I went to the forums to see what was up and with all these posts I thought it was pretty important for me to post something.
Also, if anyone knows of someone that bought some 20x12's and 18x10 JYDs from Perry have them call me. I have them done but Perry is MIA.

Chris, great to see this post made by you. What you are doing is called "stepping up". I almost didn't recognize it. You don't really see people doing it anymore.
