best way to protect bare steel while waiting to go to paint

hey guys,
without actually shooting a coat of primer on my Monte, is there something I can put on the bare metal to minimize or eliminate surface rust while I wait for the body shop to be ready for my car?
it's stored inside my garage and the temps stays pretty consistant.
