Just like it says above - who all is driving their cars, what are you driving and where are you coming from?

Very cool - I'm looking to do some filming at the event and I want to concentrate on long haulers. If you're interested let me know!

Thx - Mike

I had a question about this that Bill might be able to help with, will there be point given for people who drive? I know 2 years ago there were for people who drove over 200 miles. Last year there was a 100 mile cruise so everyone who went got the points. With the cruise after the event this year i was wondering what is going to happen?

There are points for mileage? Hell, I've got almost a 1000 mile round trip run ahead of me.

2 of the cars from Phoenix made the long haul 2 weeks ago for Run To The Alamo. 375 miles from Phoenix to Irvine is much easier on the body and car than 1030 from Phoenix to San Antonio. If we do RTTA next year, at least one is getting trailered.

Unfortunately I have to get 2 cars into the area, so I'll be using a trailer.

Well true, but I think you and the big guy are probably leaving well ahead of Will and myself. Not sure who Ryan's rolling with.
You missed out on the fun with TX DPS for RTTA.... ;)

But TX is very understanding and agreed to let that ticket go away for just a few extra dollars into the county budget :headbang:

Really? when you guys leaving. I will be flying into Phoenix to pick up the charger and heading out on Wednesday morning. I would love to find someone to drive the suburban and trailer so I could make the trip in the charger.

No long distance points this year. That is a tough one to figure out how to be fair since people can not help where they live. Personally, I would like to give 1 point per 50 miles but it just will not work on paper. If it did, I would get about 50 points driving from Pigeon Forge..haha

If we would have thought of this sooner, I could have towed the suburban out on your trailer. But I leave for Irvine on Sunday evening with the support truck and you won't be here until Wednesday. Next year we can plan this out differently....

Ok. My plans have changed. I'm now driving my 69 Camaro from Chico...516 miles to La Quinta In, Irvine.
I'm not bringing any tools. That way I should have a safe trip. lol
I plan to take off Tues night after work. I'll stop somewhere and spend the night in either Fresno or Bakersfield.

Leaving at 9am tomorrow morning - taking the 5 down from San Francisco. If you see a lone black '68 Charger you know who it is!
