Lakeside Rods, Eric Brockmeyer and DK take a second gen camaro to a new level. Here are some pics from the Detroit Autorama where it took home the CASI Cup among other awards.

I saw the car at the show, they did a great job. the picture doesn't do it justice! the roof and back window are from another car, don't know the make. I thought it could have used less vents though, I really liked the gauges. Nice car!

The sail panel area and black louvers remind me of a '69 mustang fastback.

Idk about that scoop on the sail panel, fender and quarter vents look pretty sweet though. Front wheels need some lip on them too but overall I like it!

Definitely different.....

I can appreciate the work involved to get it completed. Some serious coin into that car.
Front air dam and rear window look odd to me. Interior is sweet.
Blue accents are tight.

Missing the best part too.......the tall deck spoiler!!! :)

The sail panel and back glass definitely look like a Mustang. Very cool looking car and unreal workmanship. I think it looks like half Mustang half Camaro.

I looked it over closely at the Autorama. The roof/rear window area definetly smack of Mustang fastback and I felt the scoops were a bit overdone. Beautiful workmanship indeed. A friend mentioned all of the striping looked like "blue painters tape"... I couldn't get that out of my head after it was said...

Here's a pic of some of the body mods done to the "Professor" Camaro. All the body mods were done on this car for function purposes. The engine cover is fully functional, bringing air in and louvered to let the air escape through the hood vents. The louver in the sail panel is a fully functional brake cooling system like used in Nascar. To reduce drag, the rear deck was raised, the front window was laid back, and the roof was lowered. Air for the front brake is brought in through the headlight. The car was built to be a fully functional car at high speeds.

Have you tried any high speed runs in the car yet?

Are those valve covers modified Billet Specialties units or totally one off?

Valve covers are custom drawn by Eric Brockmeyer and built by Greening Auto.

Just a few words regarding the issues discussed on this thread- the car won the 2012 Good Guys Muscle Machine of the Year; Mid-American Gold Cup; Best Pro-Touring and Best Custom at numerous Autorama shows along with winning the CASI Cup award twice. The latest award it received was the Mother's Shine Award at SEMA- awarded by international judges including experts in design, engineering, paint, metal fab, etc

The crew at Lakeside Rods did all the body work and the front and rear glass was custom made by Pro Curve of Halboro, PA

Who did the wheels on the car? What kind of suspension mods were done to get it to sit so low? Lastly, where did you get the seats from? The conversion to a two seater is awesome btw, I am trying to figure out how to do that to mine.

Beautiful car guys!!

Very high quality build.

I agree with others about the sail panel scoop, mustang touches.

Looks good and is built for 'function' now lets see it function!
