Hello all! I joined back in December and have been doing a ton of reading on here. I have a 1969 Camaro base model with a mild 350 SBC and turbo 350 auto trans. I bought the car back in 1997 after a friend of the family needed to sell it because of an unexpected need for money. He did a full off frame restoration with all new GM sheet metal back then. He painted the car and hand rubbed it. The car is by far not perfect because he made some beginner mistakes, but I bought the the car as nice driver and to go to car cruises not shows. I built the engine and trans and finsihed off the stuff he did not. I put new multi-leafs and front coils springs to improve the ride but the car still has the factory style suspension and drum brakes.

I have been kicking around converting it into street car in the pro-touring style and that is how I come to join this forum. I used be into drag racing and have a 1974 pro-street camaro that I am in process of selling for additonal funding of this potential project.

I want to send a huge THANKS!! to Frank at Prodigy Customs who has helped me do planning, and I plan to use one of his Moser rearend set ups. I will be creating a build Thread in the project section.

it's actually a nice change of pace to see a stock appearing '69 w/ rally wheels, nice!

Thanks but I just ordered Fikse FM 5 wheels for all four corners. I have had the car this way since 1996 when it was restored. I am looking for a change. I have been conflicted for years whether or not to change the look. I figured I would pull the trigger.

I just pulled the trigger on ordering a full Ridetech set up front and back. I will be soon opening a thread in projects once the parts arrive.
