I have an 68 convert camaro. I want to use the music from a previous car. The problem is the equipment is over 10 years old. So tell me what you think!!

old equipment;

E.V. Horns (1 pair), JL 12 inch(1 pair) speakers (W3) 400 watt max. Amp rockford fosgate 800 punch, and 400 punch.

New equipment

Screaming Performance kick panel with Image Dynamics 6.5in mid and 1in tweet. Deck still not sure.

If it still works and you're not concerned with having the latest and greatest, then why not? The MTX amps and speakers in my Elky are at least 10 years old and it still sounds great!

Like Herb said...if it works and meets your goal who cares.

I'll settle for nothing less than Kenwood; built-in Garmin GPS/DVD/MP3/Ipod/rear view monitor/etc.; Kenwood 4" Dual Front Dash speakers (direct replacement for factory GM A-body speaker); Kenwood 2 way 6" in kick panels; Kenwood 4 way 6x9's in rear deck; Kenwood amps & 4 10" subs in trunk; Kenwood decals...

If it still sounds good use it, it won't matter in a vert anyway.

old school is fine, just make sure all your components match up acoustically and power wise with the amps.

most of my audio equipment that is going in my wagon is over 10-15 years old. I actually prefer the old school stuff compared to this new crap today. Old school PPI amps, JL audio Speakers. nothing made today can compare. old school rules.

Hell the stock Delco mono AM-FM radio in my 70 Chevelle still sounds good to me! Then again I have never bought a new sound system for any car I have ever owned. If the radio makes noise I am happy!

Your the one that has to live with your radio. I am certainly not impressed by a big thumper system and I am probably not the only one. If you are happy with what you have that's all that matters since YOU are the only person you need to impress!
