Hey guys,

Anyone know of a full service shop in So Cal somewhere not too far from Temecula? Looking for somewhere that specializes in pro touring type Cars for my 69 camaro. The car is in good running condition and I'm looking mostly for upgraded parts installation and some minor custom fab. First up will be suspension, rear end, brakes wheels and tires. Wanna do exhaust with some custom routing, new dash, wiring etc next. Also I know it's probably unrealistic but if its a shop or garage that I can stop by and watch some of the work be done (just to learn) that'd be a huge bonus. Not a major deal on that though, I'd imagine that's hard to find. Anyone recommend any shops with owners that stick to their word and run a legit biz? I've been leaning towards Jon at Driverz for the first job, seems like a good dude, any experiences? Might even consider a private garage with someone willing to take on a project as well? Thanks in advance!

Hey Aaron,
I have a shop just down south of you. I can do all the things you mentioned. Fabrication, complete restorations, or full custom.

I have built many camaros. Understand them well. I've owned 6 others over the past 25 years.

Please feel free to drop me a PM and I can answer any question you might have.
Look forward to talking to you.

I have to give a shout out to the guys at Best of Show. They're about half an hour away (I used to drive down from the Inland Empire almost every week, and I always knew I wasn't too far once I got to Temecula). The main reasons I took my car there were because they were honest about estimates and prices, had experience building pro-touring Camaros, and let me be as involved as I wanted. I told them I wanted to get my hands dirty and be able to learn how to build a car by the time mine was done. Basically I went over during my free time and either helped install suspension, and by that I mean I gave a hand when needed (bolting and holding stuff), or watched, chatted, and observed when they were doing fab or body work, just to see and learn how everything was done and why it was done.

If you have time, you should swing by during the day. There will probably be at least one other customer/friend. People just seem to drop by and hang out. It's a good environment, and sounds like what you're looking for.
