I work for Edmunds.com (Insideline is our enthusiasts site) and I just saw this. Congrats Carl and next tome stop by the main office. More that a couple of Edmunds peeps would love to see your car!

This article has been posted on here hidden under a couple different titles, but I thought this one might generate some more buzz...

That's cool, maybe I can put my 68 Camaro up against the new ZL1 Camaro?

I think my favorite thing about Carl's car is that everything retains a stock vibe.

There were two threads on this same topic so I merged them.
Nice going Carl!

"...there probably aren't any that will beat this car on the skid pad, but this car did." That says great things about Carl's car, and I'm not taking anything away from it but I'm guessing there are a whole bunch more here or on lateral-g that could. That says a lot about Carl and the braintrust available to the regular Joe coming to this site.

I found the article to be quite interesting. Typical thought is that 60s cars suspensions are junk. Carl's car does not have the high dollar mods many other PT cars have yet it held up very well in the comparision. Wheels/tires, shocks and brakes are the best bang for the buck mods you can do for the old iron. I guess a magnacharged LS1 does not hurt either.

Man that slalom was killer. Very well dialed in car (obviously)!
And man if that ain't a Pro-touring sleeper car with its simple no frills look, I dunno what is.
Congrats.

I think the -3 degrees of static camber hurt Carl in the braking test . . .

Awww, shucks!
Thanks for the compliments guys. Several of you hit the nail on the head for the build. To the casual observer while driving down the street it's just another red Camaro with big tires. That's the intent. She's no ballerina either at 3750lbs with driver for the testing.
Hey, that guy robbed my high-school photograph!
