The new X-Factor cross member from American Powertrain makes putting a T5, TKO or AOD in the 1965-73 Mustang a bolt in job.

The X-Factor cross member bolts to the original holes in the Mustang’s tunnel support, just like an OE cross member, but features the correct dimensions for your favorite modern transmission. A unique center plate tilts to properly support the rotated mounting position of the T5 or sits flat and level for the TKO and AOD. An e-brake cable bracket is included for OE cable compatibility.

Made in the USA using their new modular construction, this X-Factor cross member is constructed from T-6061 aluminum, making it incredibly light and exceedingly strong, perfect for street or track applications. While giving you tons of clearance for dual exhaust up to 3.5" in diameter.

All stock parts are powder coated in metallic aluminum or Ford Blue (shown) and come with grade-8 hardware . Applications include the Fox T-5, the TREMEC TKO/3550 and the Ford AOD.

All X-Factor cross members come with a lifetime warranty against breakage, and American Powertrain’s exclusive Customer First 24-Hour tech support. www.americanpowertrain.com or www.xfactorcrossmembers.com Call us at 931-646-4836 for more info.

Good price too. Would this fit the C4 and or top loader? I dont mind mods if needed. But this may solve an exhasut problem on my 65 mustang and take some weight out of my 65 falcon.

Does this crossmember put the transmission at the proper angle, or do you still have to do tunnel mods?
David.

Sorry for the delay!

Yes you can adjust the angle on the base plate. No tunnel mods required at all.

Right now it only fit T5, TKO and AOD. We are working on one for the C4 and Toploader.
