OK so I normally build Chevys not fords so I have no idea where to get the parts from. Chevy uses Classic Industries, ss396, Firewheel, Year one, etc. Who do you guys use for the best prices and service on Mustang resto parts? Also, whats a good place to get ford motors from? I did a google search and found MustangDepot and Mustangs unlimited. Decent?

Thanks

Hey John lets hit the next good guys show next month. Some great local vendors. Key word in buying parts is no "shipping". Also meeting them at the show in person is a plus.

I used Mustangs Unlimited on the 70 convertible that i just finished , shipping was quick but prices were probably a little higher than some on the big ticket items . Nice big color catalog . I think the shipping is free over $300.00 .

I routinely use National Parts Depot (for original reproduction parts - free shipping over $300). They do not sell very many speed or performance parts. However, they had just about everything I've needed in stock each time. There prices are quite good and support is perfect.

I make small orders from CJ Pony Parts. They have pretty decent prices and free shipping. They don't always have the parts you need in stock and back order them. As a result, I'll just use them when I have something small I'd like to order and don't want to pay one of the other places $8 to ship it.

I've used Mustangs Unllimited as well (free shipping over $300). They are a little more expensive on some items but also sell a few more performance related items than NPD.

I'm partial to Mustangs Unlimited, partially because they are local to me and I'm a former employee. It's rare that I order something that isn't in stock, and even in cases where it isn't in stock in GA, they usually have it in CT.
