Almost time to start buying weatherstriping for my 67 'vert. WOW things have changed since the last time I needed to buy weatherstrip for this car. So I have a few questions for those who have recently purchased weatherstrip for their vert.

First - is it better to buy a full kit from one vendor or pieces from different vendors. I realize it will be a little more $$ to buy by the piece. But it looks like some places have better pieces that others. Especially the door and rear quarter glass seals. My current thought is to buy piece meal. And if by the piece is better anyone have a list of who to buy what from ??? My first batch will be to seal the doors for fender/door alignment.

Second - Door seals. I've read a lot of comments on the different door seals. Is the Latex version reeally worth the extra $125 over the standard seals?? Read mixed reviews on them. My current thought is that they are worth the $$.

Thanks for any feedback provided.

Metro seals are a good compromise over the expensive latex. Soffseal are the ones that are too firm for the doors and deck lid.

Metro MP moldings are no compromise. They are jet black, made very well, with a 15 year warranty. Also has a complete listing on their metromp website.
I bought all weatherstripping from them. Metro has been in business for 90 years.

I bought the whole convert kit$$ from AMES and they sold Metro. I'm happy with it.
