Has anyone used Kooks headers in their first gen camaro, stock clip and ls?

FYI if you plan on going with KOOKS, you better hope you dont have any problems with them fitting. We did a ls transplant and the headers did not fit. The company gave us the run around. First they told us to send them pictures of the install. 2 weeks later they said they never got them. Then we sent them with delivery conformation. We had to contact them after waiting a week. Talked to a guy that told us he would have George Rumore (owner) call back. Never did, I had to call him. Said he would take a look at the pics and call me back. He never did, I called him, and he gave me the run around. Said he was going to talk to his guys and figure out what to do and get back to me. guess what, yep you got it, never called me back. And he wouldnt offer me a chance to return the headers. 950 bucks for a pair of headers that wouldnt fit, and customer service that doesnt exist. I think good old George is too busy spending the money he makes from his ill fitting products to worry about helping us little guys.
So like I said, if you want KOOKS headers, strap in because you will be in for a ride if you have problems. Good luck!!!

Thanks That's what I was looking for, some real world feed back. I tried calling them, they seemed a little busy to talk to me. That was the first flag.

Oh Man, I have a LS transplant in a 69 camaro and picked up a set of kooks used. The guy I bought them from said they fit fine (saw pics of them). Just needed to sell since he went turbo. I Have yet to install them as I am figuring out a engine mount issue first. I hope I don't have issues with them. I will post on here once I get them installed. I have a buddy that used http://www.americanracingheaders.com/ and had nothing but great things to say about their support.

I don't entirely agree w Evildude above. I''ve seen Kooks fit well in stock and aftermarket subs, and had to modify one tube just a little bit on my AME sub. I am sorry he had all those problems though.

Think Im the only one that had a bad experience with George Rumore at Kooks Headers? Take a look at this post, good old George even chimed in for a bit, but then he mus have lost interest. Pay particular attention to posts 12 and 16.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH, Would never recommend them. Once they get there money they will blow you off and give you the run around. George and his sons are not into customer satisfaction.
