Saw this car at the local car show. Absolutely beautiful. The owner did almost everything himself. This car was very rusty when he started on it. Just look at the specs of the car in the last pic. Those NOS bottles are for the air ride.
Steve if you need his name and number I have it.

Hmm I guess my pics dont do this car any justice. Or mabey no one read the spec sheet. I just have soo much respect for the guys that do almost everything themselves like this guy did. If only you could have seen what it used to look like.

Pro-street? hmm I was under the impression it was easily a pro-touring car. Damn all these terms, and they all mean something different to each person too. How is it Pro-Street and not pro-touring???? :candle:

The 14" wide rear wheels compared to the 6" wide fronts scream Pro-Street to me as well, as do the 15" diameter on both sets of wheels.

So do the Hoosier Pro Street Radial tires.

None of which should be taken to mean that I don't like it - I do. But it looks more Street than Touring. Plus I'm jealous, my wife doesn't give me anything cool for my birthday.

I never thought about using nitrous bottles as air tanks. But I would have painted the purple zex bottles to match the car, though.
It's a nice car and looks like a lot of hard work made it possible.
I really like the console too.

Ya basically the tires are what makes it more pro-street than pro-touring! I like both to be honest my dad has a back half car right now actually! With some updated wheels and tires that car could easily be shot by someone for a mag!

I think it is more geared to ProStreet as well but it is a very nice car. That and he did it himself scores more points in my book.

Nice car but Johnny has a rule about staying around 1964 and newer.. lol.. The farther outside the parameters of age and type a car is the cooler it has to be to get shot..

Did that make any sense??

Still, I will print the pics and run them up the flagpole..

And it is not pro-street.. it is where pro-street NEEDS to go.. or as I say "pro-street that doesn't suck to drive"..

VERY nice car though!

hmm... 15x14 rear wheels... as they say.. the wheels make the car and often define it as well.. is that car bagged because it is VERY low.

Steeve yes that car has an air ride suspension. Dang I really really thought this car had 17" wheels in person. I wonder if he had a misprint on his sheet. Or if he updated to 17" wheels since he made that sheet. Still you guys could not believe how incredible the attention to detail was on this this 55. He won 2 trophies from this event too. He said he will be featured in a couple other magazines to and that they already took pics of his car. There are so many little details that I just cant even begin to explain like the glass inserts in the console which my sucky camera didnt even pick up. Power windows with stock cranks was trick too.
Steve PM me if you want his information.

no shots of the car's back wheel and tire combo?

sounds pro-street though. narrowed 9", check, chris alston ladderbars, check, 18.5 inch hoosier prostreets out back, check. the car is a pro-streeter, but should be probably be in hot rod or custom rodder.
