It can be gen1 or LS engines, brackets are not included.

and does it have the defrost function... just trying to figure out the main differrence on why they went with a genIV in a newer kit ?

g-machine

yes, has defrost, 4 vents, and floor......not sure why they went genIV either. Perhaps it is the controls? The Dakota Digital contoller is $400 from Summit and it does include temp sensors to place in the interior for temp control.

Hey George, Do you think i could get this to work in my 73 trans am? I know the stock switches are on the other side of the dash than mine and would need to modify the vents but other than that. What do ya think.

You will replace the stock controls with the Dakota Digital electronic version. You should be able to modify your vents to work. Let me know if you are interested!

Do you think it will work on a 69 Firebird. I'm doing a custom build so the dash has been customized for custom dakota digital gages and touch screen radio and I am not opposed to modifying it more.

I am not sure about the underhood lines. They might be bent differently than you need, but could be adapted to work. The dash part should not be a problem.

I am not sure about shipping fees to Canada - plus this will ship in 2 parge boxes. It is stilll available.

The only thing that I know of that makes the kit 70-78 specific are the dash vents.......with this kit not having any I just called it 70-81. This can be used with the factory vents with some work.

PM sent to pieces of eight

Thanks,
George
