Astroracers thread got me wondering whos got what? Little terrors? Multi heathens? Scales, feathers, fur?

My past career was based around animals so I have quite a few but in the house I have 6 rescue cats a king snake and a Bearded Dragon.

In the Barns is a different story...

I've got a pit-bull/ border collie mix, an Aussie shepherd/ blue heeler mix, a tabby cat, a huge red eared slider water turtle, a few fish, and my wife breeds parakeets. They're all great pets. Well, my aussie barfed on my office carpet today, that wasn't very cool, but mostly they're great. ;)

SRD, Good for you! Lots of Karma coming your way for sure. Pits sure get a bad rep for the few bad ones out there. I have a 3 legged pit that is the sweetest thing!

Wow......that's so awesome of you to care for him!!!!
How did lose the leg ?? I hope it wasn't an adoption from fighting.....

I love APBT's and I'm on my 3rd. I love the big one's that are outside the tighter breeding spec's.
They're huge lovable dogs ALWAYS wanting to make you happy and have your attention.
GREAT with kids........but not for stupid lazy owners.

I don't have a current pic of my 1 year old Gotti/Greyline, but he's @ 80lbs right now.
I flew him in from Dallas Texas from a UKC breeder of Gotti's. This was after his cropping Spring 2011.
Choppers grand sire is 100lbs and IMMENSE and a champion. (no not fighter, I hate a**holes who fight dogs )

Here's Chopper's grand sire (grandpa) who still studs.

This was my best friend through my 20's......Chaos, Midnight Reign bloodline and just such a happy dog.
He passed 3 years ago from catching Blastomycosis (Evil stuff)......left a huge hole in my heart.

Creepindeth, She was being used as a bait dog in Compton. I was on set and a bunch of us heard a bunch of dog fighting and called my buddy at the aspca to report it. He came to set just as we were wrapping things up and he had her in the back of his car. A big pit/rot cross had bit her leg hard enough to shatter it at the shoulder. I knew a vet that would fix her up n the middle of the night. She loves her little pack now ad will live violence free the rest of her life.

I have an AmStaff and my English Staff just passed a couple years ago.

Boomer the Am Staff on his way to another show with my roommate at the time.

This got my blood boiling just reading it.
I am glad I moved out of Chicago and into the burbs, because if I was witness to this kind of butchery
I'd end up shooting someone and/or beating them to death. I have no concern for humans who act less
then human like an animal and deserve to be put down like one.

Boomer the AmStaff looks VERY healthy, handsome, and strong. A fine male ya got there.
My wife was scared of these dogs but my 90lb Chaos showed her that they really do get a bad rap from the media.
9 breeds in the Bully category who are all categorized as "Pit bull types" to make it look more severe then
other dogs in incidents. Then the scumbag thugs ruining them, I'd like to hang them like they did in the old west.

Save society and the courts a buttload of money.

Hey, a little not commonly known fact on AmStaff's, they were always the same dog as the APBT.
The ADBA and UKC started their organizations in the late 1800's and early 1900's with APBT's
as their #1 dog. AKC didn't want them but they finally realized their popularity and accepted them
under a DIFFERENT name.......guess what name it was. :) True story.

Today they do have slightly different breeding characteristics, but essentially they were the same dog.

Susan is part of a small dog animal rescue. They specialize in the broken ones from the medical ward. She takes really good care of them and does an awesome job of healing them up.

Over time we wound up keeping a couple. The four below are ours.

Yep, I have a breeding pair of them.

As far as the Pit/Staff names, yea those waters are pretty muddy. I had no intention of showing him but my roommate was newly divorced and he was looking for something to do to keep his mind busy. Boomer was pretty easy to handle since he was trained for the movies already. I thought he ws too big but he ended up doing very well. I gave him to my roommate since they got along well together and he ended up going to Westminster. My wife and I have had several dogs over the years and 1 cat. The cat was a siamese that my wife got as a kitten. She named her Huzzy because every time she would find here, she was into something she shouldn't have been. She got diabetes a few years ago and we had to put her down.

Our favorite dog was a black Standard Poodle(yes, that's tha big ones) named Zack. We got him when he was a year old from a lady who was getting divorced and couldn't keep him. Standard Poodles are VERY smart and well behaved dogs. I also found out that they're very tough. They were originally bred for retreiving waterfowl. The kinky, curly hair repelled water quickly and the PomPons around their feet were actually designed to keep ther ankles warm in the cold hunting weather.

Currently we have a Bull Terrier. He's about a year and a half old. We got him from a lady who was forced to get rid of him by her husband because they didn't have time for him. Refer back to CreepDeth's comment about stupid lazy owners. It took him a couple weeks to get house trained, and overall he's a good dog, but he tends to get a bit rough when playing and he doesn't know his own strength.

I'll try to post some pics later.

I have two short haired black cats, Shadow and Charlotte. Both came from work's parking lot, found three kittens gave one a home with the Mother of a guy here at work.

I had a cat (Bill the Cat) a few years ago that was my best buddy (the two today are running a close second) that I lost to heart troubles. Broke my heart and said I would never again.....well never say never.

I love that picture of the Tabby in the sink!

You know that Dogs have owners.......CATS have staff.

We have been rescuing dogs right off the street in the south central part of los angeles. We have a warehouse down there and seem to find dogs constantly. have people that are fostering some right now but we have them ranging in size from 12 lbs up to 130 lbs. just found a nice 18 month old shepard pit mix and when i brought him to my vet, he was 102 lbs and under weight. always looking for good people to adopt them. will post up some pics.
