There seems to be a polarization between those that might actually put a car on a track somewhere and those that are street only.
This isn't a bad issue overall (at least it shouldn't be) but it might help to get a cross sectional understanding of what the general ideas for a OT / street setup and a "good handling" street setup might be. Target numbers, seat of the pants feel, other new car comparisons are all allowed for this purpose.
Besides that maybe people could try to quantify a level of modification that separates the two (regardless of performance).
Now I know that we'll never be able to fully agree on this subject but we might be able to sticky something useful for reference in the future. This is just to try and facilitate a better understanding amongst everyone. Besides, it might be a fun discussion.
