2 inch drop springs lower rubber seat or not 68 camaro

just got thru installing the SC&C UCA stage 2+ kit along with 2 inch hotchkis lower springs. MY question is should there have been a rubber seat/boot inside the bottom of my stock control arms for the springs to sit in? Its been quick awhile since i have made any changes to this car and dont remember there being any in there the last time i swapped springs out?

i have never seen one on a stock control arm.

Somemaftermarket lower arms come with poly spacers...otherwise stock is metal to metal...no worries though
