figured i'd stick this in here since it's not technically transmission...and since i'd probably get a lot more response this way.

what's the best way to break in a centerforce dual-friction? i just bolted one in when i did my saginaw to tko swap (to get around the 10-spline input shaft on the sagie).

i know andrew borodin is running one in his goat (or at least was)...so any tips, or tricks, or proper procedure, or anything?

I always put at least 100 miles of stop/go style traffic on them before sidestepping them at 6500 rpm. But thats just me.... :D

Start the engine, roll out of your driveway make sure the engine is at operating temp. line the car up straight make sure no one is in the way, place the shifter in 1st gear rev motor alittle and dump the clutch, vouala now its broken in:cheers:

Thanks

I think CF says 500 miles of normal, easy driving.

Ya I read that in my instructions from CF too. 500 miles was way more than I could take. I went with something more like Georges technique...warm er up and give it H*ll. Worked out well and satisfied my need for instant gratification.

im just gonna be glad to be able to drive the dang thing again, even if it's only like a grandma. to me, this 3 month wait has been a bigger bite of forever than any part break-in period could be...

lol yeah i decided since it says normal driving, i'll just drive like i normally do. which is usually somewhere in between maniac and preteen chick with her permit.
