Hello, after doing a search on craigslist for an LS1 i am more confused then ever so i am turning to the endless database of ls1 knowledge. What is a long block ls1? Do all LS motors come in a long block option? What is the one that i should be looking for to put into my 69 camaro?

Long block terms differ. The most common form of a "long block" I would say is a block with all cover's and oil pan. No intake, coils, and front drive accessories. Of course, it all depends of what the seller does and doesn't include. Ideally, you want to find a "complete" engine.

This is probably the most accurate....

This is what most call a "short block"..... add heads and you have a "Long block".. IMOP
