Motor mount fitment issue

So I took a spare block to see where it would sit with my mounts...

I have the $30 3/8" eBay plates and standard 350 mounts.

Issue is that when I bolted passenger side in the other can't set into place. The bolt hole in motor mount is up and out like 3/4".

Some of that can easily be caused by frame sag. What engine mounts are you using?

If you can, get a better pic...

I had the same problem and it was two things:

There are short wide and tall narrow SBC mounts...make sure you have the correct ones for your application...

And

The frame was tweaked causing the mounts not to line up correctly

I'll pay around tomorrow after I get my L76. I'm using the short and wide. The mounts are nee and I just bolted then to the 350 I'm also selling tomorrow and it set right in no problem. I'll get a better pic Sunday if I'm still having issues.

I read somewhere that the plates are supposed to be 5/16 not 3/8 thick. This might account for some of the problem.
