Hey All,
I live in the country on a good old dirt road.
and when ever I get the car out its covered in dust and dirt.
Yes it has a car cover.
My question is, Is there a way to clean dust and dirt off a car with out busting out the soap and water?

Absolutely, there are so many cleaners out there that it is hard to choose which one to use. Aquanil was something I had a chance to get a free sample of and it worked great, Prolong has a pretty good woking product that came close. You haveto decide what you want to pay for these products but in the long run you can wash your car for time and energy it takes to dry it off after washing with soap and water.

I have only really washed my wheels when they are removed with a hose otherwise I have never taken a hose or bucket to the car and most people tell me I have one of the cleanest cars at all the cruises. Water just plain wears a car out and causes problems, put as little water on your car as possible. Rain is not the same as soapy water and the what it does to your inner parts of the car that dry as easily once you soak those areas full.

Meguiars and Mothers also have great products that can make you car clean with less work and time.

I feel your pain as our home is next to fields and farming. Lots of dust and dirt ...

Keeping the car clean and covered helps a lot and if you're going to a meet or show, use one of those dust wand thingies to get the schmootz off and then give it a good go-over with detail spray and a micro-fiber rag.

Man, I cannot wait to try the new stuff that is out...

Back in the 1980's, my car was the wettest, cleanest looking car around..

I waxed it once a week..Number 7 once a month..

Washing, Drying, Number 7, Number 26....

Oh, it looked incredible...But hours of work..

It may be why after 28 years, it looks great still, but i need a better way...

I think Steve at east bay Muscle cars dry washed my car and waxed it...

I will have to ask him..At 52, i would like to spend 3 hours on something else...

Mary P....

Mary , Thanks..

Wait until you see some really good pictures..28 year old paint.. I just can't believe it..

No new paint job, so I can go thrash this beast around soon..

Except for the fancy rims, all the money was spent on Mechanical Upgrades...

And Steve is setting the car up for me...So, yes, I am so excited, I am going crazy.

Oh and for the Wife, I got granite counters, and today I paint the kitchen cabinets. back splash will be next..

Things that I can do.. since the picture, the faucet and drains are in, and the cabinets are sprayed..

All before the Car comes home..
